Timetalbe for Filing Application

1) In November (yearly): Application deadline for Fall Semester (begins September)
2) In May (yearly): Application must be received for Spring Semester (begins March)
3) The specific details will be announced on the web site at 「 http://www.pcu.ac.kr 」
around the application period.

Qualifications

1) Master's Degree Program

a. You must hold a baccalaureate from an accredited 4-year university in Korea or abroad,
or present evidence of the equivalent to be eligible for admission.
b. A senior student in a 4-year university who is enrolled on the 8th semester.

2) Doctoral Degree Program

a. Candidates with master's degrees from a university in Korea or in a foreign country,
or present evidence of the equivalent to be eligible for admission.
b. A master's degree pursuant who is about to complete graduate school programs.

Application procedure

※ Prior to the application, it is necessary you contact a professor in related
to the field of your study for discussion of the class language , a major or general information of your future subject.
You are encouraged to check with the Pai Chai University's homepage http://www.pcu.ac.kr for contact information of professors.

1) Consult with relevant professors through an e-mail or a phone call for the admission details including
the language of a lecture, your intended major, or other requirements
2) Candidates designated by the professors will be able to apply directly to graduate school office of Pai
Chai University by submitting materials.
3) Selection will be made after screening the received documentations
4) Pai Chai university will send you the acceptance letter accompanied by the required materials for
applying for the visa.
5) With the acceptance package, an applicant must visit either a local Korean Embassy or a consulate to
apply for E-2 (a degree program student status) visa.
6) If your visa is not confirmed, a refund of US$4,000 will be made upon receiving the?Request Form
for the Tuition Fee Refund?(Some transaction fee will be deducted from the original amount when the
money wire is transferred back to your account from Pai Chai)
7) When the visa is issued, an applicant should offer Pai Chai University the arrival information at least
10 days prior to departure from the home country.
8) Upon entering Pai Chai University, you are advised to register by submitting the tuition at the
graduate school office and to consult the office of international exchange & cooperation

※ If you want to take Korean language classes first before a graduate school program, please refer
to the procedure for the application of a 「Korean Language Course」

Admission Requirements

1) Master's Degree Program

(English documentations are required)
a. Application form (download)
b. A self-introduction form (including the study plan)
c. A copy of passport
d. 4 - passport size photos
e. A graduation diploma of final education (must be notarized)
f. A Transcript of academic record of final education (must be notarized)
g. A Birth Certificate
h. An applicant and their parents' copy of identification cards in their own country
i. A Family Census Registration (Every single family members should be identified)
j. A Certificate of Business registration or enrollment (income specification, contact info is
   required on this form - must be notarized)
k. A certificate of deposit balance holding at least US＄10,000 or over
l. In case an applicant is in the process of being enrolled at an academic institution,
   an enrollment certificate and academic transcript should be obtained (must be notarized)
m. In case candidates completed their final education over 6 months ago, they have to submit
   a certification of enrollment in a business place or other career history to prove their past
   experience. (must be notarized)
n. A letter of recommendation from the instructor(s) at Pai Chai University
  (This is obtained after the approval from the relevant professor)

※ All the endorsed documentations (notarized forms) must be executed either in English or Korean.

2) Doctoral Degree Program

You are required to submit master's degree certificate and a transcript of academic record in addition
to the master's degree program requirements.

3) Notice

1) All documents should be certified true and not falsified. If any forged information is found later,
your admission will be cancelled regardless of the length of your study in Pai Chai University.
2) Contact numbers and address should be precisely stated where applicants can be reached anytime. Pai
Chai university is not liable for failing to reach applicants to inform you of an admission due to
incorrect contact information offered by applicants. In this case, your admission can be cancelled.
3) Documents submitted will never be returned to applicants.
4) Pai Chai University might ask for more documents aside from the requirements.
5) In addition to submitted documentations, Pai Chai university may require supplementary materials for
the proof of a certain truth.
