What is my favorite place on campus to find an affordable and convenient cup of tasty heaven?
Our campus is flooded with lovely places to relax and talk with friends and classmates.
When you think of such places some of these may come to mind – the first floor of the 21st Century Building, the first floor of the Science Building, the area beside the girl’s dormitory near the library or between Baeksan Building and Unam Building on the 2nd floor in the former ROTC Building.
As a freshman, I am new to campus, but as a reporter I’m also curious by nature, so I’ve explored all of these areas already and have grown to become quite familiar with them, so if your guess is that one of these cafes or locations is my favorite place for a cup of tasty heaven, you all have something in common.
Many students have seen this location and may have already experienced having some tasty heaven during its peak periods around 8am or 12pm. I personally drop by during lunch hour. The tables are full and the area surrounding it is vibrant and full of students. My usual order is a peach iced tea for 4,000 won. I often add a shot to lessen the sweetness. This is called “아샷추” in Korea.
Aside from drinks, the café also sells soft ice cream for 3,500 won, crumbles for 4,500 won, donuts for 2,500 won and macaroons for 2,500 won. Smoothies and frappes are the most popular drinks among students. One day I decided to hang around and interview a few of my fellow students for this article and some of them were kind enough to pose for a photo afterwards. I dropped by the café around 3pm and stayed until it closed at 5pm.
“I like this café. The grapefruit ade is delicious. Also, your order is filled quickly”, said one student.
But you cannot please everyone. One student told me “The Blueberry Smoothie is too sweet.” Well, smoothies are supposed to be sweet, aren’t they?
