  • How much coffee do you drink in a day? I drink coffee almost every day - probably around six times a week, because drinking coffee wakes me up. Not only does coffee make me feel alert, I also really love the aroma and the taste. I think a lot of people must feel the same because coffee is very closely associated with our morning routine. Let's take a closer look at coffee and what it is people love most about it.

Coffee helps prevent type 2 diabetes by preventing insulin sensitivity. Also, coffee that's made from ground beans contains chlorogenic acid, which acts as a powerful antioxidant, slows the aging process, and lowers blood pressure and blood sugar. Also, drinking two cups of coffee a day can lower one's chances of developing Alzheimer's. The characteristic that can act both positively and negatively is that coffee makes the diuretic effect active. Although it frequently releases waste from the body by increasing the amount of urine, excessive diuretic effects can lead to water shortage. Furthermore, because coffee contains strong caffeine, excessive intake can cause sleep deprivation. Also, it is highly acidic, which can put a strain on the lining of the stomach.

So far, we've learned about the effects of coffee. Now, let's take a look at some of the kinds of coffee we often drink and see what it consists of.

The Americano we usually drink is espresso with water. Caffe latte is a combination of milk and espresso, and a very thin layer of milk foam is put on top of it. The cappuccino method of preparing coffee is very similar, but there is a larger percentage of milk foam.

Café mocha is a combination of espresso, hot chocolate, and milk, and then milk foam is put on top. Affogato is vanilla ice cream with hot espresso. Vienna coffee is an Americano style coffee topped with whipped cream.

Let's take a closer look at some of the different varieties of coffee.

Coffee is largely divided into three categories: arabica, robusta, and liberica.

Arabica is soft and fragrant and contains less caffeine than Robusta. Because it is produced in alpine regions, mass cultivation by machines is not possible. A typical environment for growing this type of coffee is Costa Rica.

Robusta is native to the Congo region in Africa. It is grown by machines on flat land, so the beans are processed all at once without a lot of consideration being given to the quality of the beans. It is the main ingredient in most instant coffee due to its strong and bitter taste and the lack of a strong aroma.

Liberica is native to western and central Africa. It has a strong bitter taste and a milder flavor, so it is not as popular as the other two types.

Not only does coffee taste good and smell good, it can also be good for you. Drinking coffee in moderation can be beneficial, and the fact that we can enjoy the taste and the aroma as well only means that we are very fortunate to be able to avail ourselves of this wonderful drink.
